Impact of COVID-19 on the Institutional Education System and its Associated Students in Bangladesh |
Aim: The influence of the current COVID-19 pandemic on Bangladesh's education system and its potential solution is the subject of the current research. Design: A descriptive survey research design was employed in the report. Place and Period of the Study: The study was conducted from 8 March (2020) to 30 July (2020) across all districts of Bangladesh. Methodology: The main structural design of this study was a descriptive survey with an interactive online interview in the pandemic region and offline fieldwork for data collection at possible locations. Results: By closing down several institutes and temporarily forcing the majority of students out of school, COVID-19 has influenced global educational sectors. To monitor the COVID-19 pandemic, most countries have temporarily closed their educational institutions. Close to 40 million students are now out of school in Bangladesh, before the epidemic returns to normal. Out-school learning deprivation varies depending on the socio-economic status of the mass population, their access to technology, parental skills, and so on in addition to this universal disruption. In most nations, online or satellite TV channels are used to provide education during the pandemic, which is not adequate to reach the contrasting levels. While with online teaching, developed countries (first and second world) are making good progress while challenges are seen in rest (third world nations). This article illustrates how the education sector and students in Bangladesh are impacted by COVID-19. Undoubtedly, abruptions in learning opportunities with multiple other dimensions are the most immediate effect of the Covid-19 on Bangladeshi students. Despite serious government attempts, for many important reasons, COVID-19 is adversely affecting students in Bangladesh. Conclusion: Collective responses and research showed that in addition to this pandemic situation, not technology, but also technicalities are needed to operate the education system smoothly.
