A Congenital Fronto-ethmoidal Encephalocele in a Female: A Case Report | Asian Journal of Case ...

The protrusion of cranial contents outside the usual limits of the skull is known as encephalocele.

They can contain meninges, brain tissue, and meninges (meningoencephalocele) or interact with the ventricles (meningoencephalocystocele).

The case of a 39-year-old woman with a congenital frontoethmoidal encephalocele is presented.

The dural defect was corrected after resection of nonfunctional brain tissue using a trans-facial approach. The nasal deformity was repaired by applying cement to the nasal bones, orbital inner walls, and lateral nasal cartilage to provide dorsal nasal support.

The patient's follow-up was characterised by the absence of recurrence. This case is being presented because it is unusual.
