Application of Classical Test Theory (CTT) in the Validation of Teacher Made Mathematics Multiple
Multiple choice parts are the most favorite item plan used in Senior High schools in Ghana and even beyond for principal part subjects that mathematics is not an irregularity. The quality of the parts constructed by the study hall teachers is essential. Stakeholders believe the results for decision making. Little is famous about the quality of the faculty member made articles. This study therefore sought to learn if the multiple-choice parts used for one mathematics faculty members meet the criteria for a good assessment mechanism using the chaste test theory approach. Instrumentation research design was secondhand. A purposive and plain random sample method were used to select one intact class accompanying a class size of 35 at Baidoo Bonsoe Senior High School in the Ahanta West Municipality of Ghana for the study. A diversified-choice test in core arithmetic with parts constructed by the arithmetic teachers of the school was secondhand. Classical test theory was used to estimate the content accompanying evidence of validity, dependability, difficulty index, and discrimination indications and distracter analysis of the articles. It was found that only three articles measured extreme level cognitive thinking, 14 articles were observed to have acceptable level of trouble and 28 items discriminated middle from two points the upper and lower groups at variable degrees. It was more found that only one in another direction 10 items was sterile of distracter defect and that dependability of the scores of the test was 0.73. It was therefore urged that training in test assemble should be intensified two together whiles the teachers are the preparation institution and attentive.
