Assessment of Growth Rate and Instability of Groundnut Production in Odisha, India: A Statistical

Oilseeds in Odisha has a important contribution in growing the income of laborers which is due to their better economic advantage. The important oilseed crops of age in Odisha are groundnut, flavoring, sunflower, sesamum and castor. Groundnut shares 34% of total area under oilseeds in Odisha and 64% of total result of oilseeds in the state. The present form an attempt to explore the best fit act in accordance with area, output and production of nut in Odisha and use the selected best fit model to estimate the development rate of the variables. The instability of extent, productivity and production of nut in Odisha is also intentional with help of cooperative of variation.Data from 1970-71 to 2019-20 have happened used to estimate the growth rate and imbalance by dividing all period of study in two periods - pre-liberalisation period (1970-71 to 1995-96) that is referred as ending I and post-liberalisation (1996-97 to 2019-20) which is applied as period II. Models thought-out in the analysis are undeviating model, logarithmic model, quadratic model, compound model and capacity model. Durbin-Watson test, Shapiro-wilk’s test and park’s test are used for experiment error power. By testing the meaning of parametric coefficient, leftover diagnostics and the model fit enumerations, the best fit model for the variable have happened selected. Using highest in rank fit model, the growth rate of field, productivity and result of groundnut in Odisha has happened estimated. The measure of instability of district, productivity and result of groundnut is likely by Coefficient of Variation. The study reveals that various models have been erect to be best choice fit for different variables indifferent periods. The study of growth rate utilizing the best fit model discloses that area and result of groundnut decrease in post-liberalisation ending than pre-liberalisation period. The tumor rate of productivity of groundnut increases in post-liberalisation ending as compared to pre-liberalisation ending. The situation is reverse concerning instability. The study suggests the conclusion that as distinguished to pre-liberalisation period, the productivity acting of groundnut in Odisha has embellished in post-liberalisation period. The weak performance in extent under groundnut results in weak performance in result of groundnut during post-liberalisation ending as compared to pre-liberalisation ending. The appropriate model building method helps in depicting a correct scenario of nut production in the state of Odisha.
