Assessment of Learners’ Preference in English Language Learning among Junior Secondary School Studen
In spite of the benefits that are connected to effective review, speaking, listening, and book skills; current reports from the West African Examination Council on students’ acting in English Language Studies in Sokoto State revealed an insignificant performance by students at public test. This study carried out an amount of learners’ preferences in English accent learning among subordinate secondary school scholars in selected instructional zones of Sokoto State, Nigeria. A descriptive survey design was secondhand in the study. Purposive and simple random sampling methods were used to select a total of 300 respondents from three instructional zones in Sokoto State. A self-developed inquiry with a reliability advantage of 0.73 was used as the mechanism for data group. The data was resolved using simple percentages. The judgment revealed that skilled were preferences for English word learning among JSS scholars in Sokoto State. It was established that learners' option for English language abilities in JSS was due to learning of lines, memorization of lines and difficulty of syntax. It was recommended, between others, that learners need expected given clear and constant counseling on why they need to favor all the language abilities.
