Assessment of the Latrine Facilities and the Health Condition in IDP Camps in Borno State
There are over 2.1 heap Internal Displaced Persons (IDPs) who have existed in camps and host communities on account of the conflict between the Nigerian state supplied group and non-state armed group. The supplying of aides to lower the suffering of these folk, especially mothers and children have caused questions in terms of the ability and functionality of the bathroom facilities in the IDP camps. This paper evaluates the latrine conveniences and their corresponding health suggestion in the selected official IDP camps in Borno State Nigeria. A well-organized questionnaire was working and administered to miscellaneous categories of the accused in twelve(12) not enough the sixteen (16) officials camps inside the area of study to decide their perception of the lavatory and the health impact was evaluated. Consequently, it is urged that there concede possibility be strict agreement concerning the creation of latrines and toilet conveniences. They should be assembled by the supplying of standards like UNHCR and circle, as this will help in reducing the trend to spread diseases in the camp.
