Attitudes of Physiotherapy Students towards Research in Relation to Certain Demographic Variables |
The study examined physiotherapy students' attitudes toward research in relation to gender, age, course of study, and type of institution on five factors: Factor I (research usefulness), Factor II (research anxiety), Factor III (positive attitude), Factor IV (life relevance), and Factor V (research anxiety) (difficulty of research). A total of 70 students were included in the sample. Males had significantly higher mean scores on factor IV than females, and females had a greater positive attitude than males; older age groups had significantly higher mean scores on factor I, factor III, and factor IV. Post graduate students mean scores were higher on factor I, factor III and factor IV. Private college student’s mean score were significantly higher on factor I, factor III and factor IV.
