Chaos Suppression in a Pendulum Equation through Parametric Excitation with Phase Shift for ... .. .

We investigate the chaos suppression of the pendulum equation using Melnikov methods under ultra-subharmonic resonance and obtain the conditions for suppressing chaos for homoclinic and heteroclinic orbits, respectively. At the same time, we present some numerical simulations that include system bifurcation diagrams and phase diagrams, and show that by changing the value of, the chaos behaviours of the system can be suppressed to period-n(n Z+) orbits. Despite the fact that our findings are necessary, they are not sufficient. For this case, numerical simulations show that our approach is successful in suppressing chaos.
