Combining Ability Analysis for Seed Yield and Attributing Traits in Linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.)
A complete set of 79 efforts comprising of duodecimal parents, their 66 F1s and one check RLC-92 were judged during rabi 2020-21 at two sites i.e., ARS, Dahod, and BTRS, Anand, under two dates of sowing that is, 2nd fortnight of October and 1st fortnight of November. The present study proposed to investigate the joining ability analysis over surroundings for seed yield and ascribing traits in linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.). Among the all four surroundings, E1 had higher mean value for beginning yield per plant and all added important yield donating traits by sowing in second fortnight at Dahod environments best for linseed cultivation. Combining strength analysis told importance of both supplement and non-additive variances accompanying prime role of non-additive ancestral variance for children yield per plant and its connected traits in all surroundings as well as combined over environments suggesting heterosis rearing would be more useful for growth of superior hybrids if sterility arrangement available. Among the persons; Shekhar, GS 384, KB 9610 and K 29 were good general combiners for seed yield per plant and test burden and capsules per plant. The parent namely., IPI 10, H 45, GS 384 and RLC 133 were good general combiners for earliness. The cross Indira × ILS 264, Gaurav × H 45 and RLC 133 × Shekhar displayed higher sca belongings for seed yield and test pressure. Most of the crosses with high essentially performance complicated at least individual good general combining person such as Shekhar, GS 384, KB 9610 and K 29 through out for all intentional characters.
