Comparative Performance of System of Rice Intensification (SRI) and Conventional Methods of Rice Cul

In order to compare the output between System of Rice Intensification (SRI) and traditional rice cultivation methods, an experiment was conducted at BINA sub-station, Gopalganj during the Aus season in 2019-2020. In this experiment, the treatments were the rice intensification system (SRI) and the traditional rice cultivation process, and Binadhan-14 was the test crop. The seedling age (A) was 10 days in the SRI system (A10S2M), the number of seedlings/hill (S) was 2 and the irrigated condition was moist (M). In the traditional method (A25S3F), the seedling age (A) was 25 days, the seedlings/hill (S) number was 3 and the irrigated state was flooded (F). Tillers/hill and dry matter partitioning SRI performed better than the traditional method of rice cultivation in terms of plant height. In terms of yield contributing characteristics, SRI showed better output than the traditional cultivation process. The SRI showed the highest yield (7 t/ha) compared to the traditional cultivation system (6.67 t/ha).
