Through the use of social media, it is possible to share and provide access to agricultural information at a much faster rate to a much larger audience through a number of user-friendly channels. The usage of social media sites by extension professionals in Southwest Nigeria was explored in this report. The study used 250 respondents who were chosen via a multistage sampling method. The majority of respondents were between the ages of 36 and 50, 52.2 percent were male, 39.5 percent had a B.Sc, 22.9 percent had an HND, 15.1 percent had a PGD, 12.2 percent had a Ph.D, and 10.2 percent had an M.Sc/M.Phil, according to the results. About half of the respondents (58%) had a basic understanding of how to use WhatsApp to provide extension services. The results of the regression analysis revealed that success expectancy (=.199, p.05), effort expectancy (=.170, p.05), and social impact (=.139, p.05) have a positive and important influence on the use of social networking sites. The study found that success expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence were predictors of social media use, and it was recommended that these variables be given attention in the study area when using social media for extension service delivery.
