Drivers Affecting Online Banking Usage of Private Commercial Banks in Sri Lanka | Asian Journal ....
Online banking is a requirement for the global development of ebusiness. The study's main goal is to look into the factors that influence how private commercial banks in Sri Lanka use their online banking services. After considering previous studies and expert ideas in the area, the researcher chose five factors: perceived risk, customers' concern for privacy, customers' value for online personalization, e-trust, and e-loyalty. Customers affiliated with seven major private commercial banks and residing in three prominent provinces of three prominent cities in Sri Lanka, namely Kandy, Colombo, and Galle, were given 500 questionnaires. Despite the fact that only 215 questionnaires were obtained from online customers. A total of 196 completed questionnaires were used in the final data review. The data was analysed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The study's data analysis shows that perceived risk, consumer privacy concerns, and entrust have a major positive impact on online banking use in Sri Lanka. Customers' value for privacy and e-loyalty both have a positive impact on online banking use, but these two factors do not have a major impact. Sri Lankan commercial banks should encourage customers to use online banking by taking into account risk, privacy concerns, and entrust. Furthermore, when developing online bank platforms, online programmers should consider inventions and significant factors. Furthermore, the researchers should perform additional research based on various cultures in order to Identify the problems and important factors that could have an impact on the use of online banking.
