Effect of Different Locations and Transplanting Dates on the Performance of Lettuce var. Great Lakes

Lettuce is the maximum leafy greens vegetable developed in the world. Performance of money varieties varies intermittently under different sowing environments. Recommendation of varieties concede possibility be given subsequently evaluating ruling class in a particular district first. Sowing time and climatic environments affects the result and quality of the produce excessively. To study the effect of different neighborhoods and planting occasion an experiment was conducted at three various locations of Seraj valley of Mandi neighborhood, a wet temperate domain of Himachal Pradesh, in year 2020. Experiment was planned in RBD-factorial design using money variety Great Lakes and districts and transplanting dates as two factors of the study. The experiment was completed activity in three locations viz. suburb Bagsiad (L1), Lambathach (L2), Majakhal (L3) and the crop was transplanted on three transplanting dates viz. 15th April (T1), 30th April (T2), 15th May (T3). Observations were written for traits in the way that days to head initiation, number of non covering leaves, leaf length (cm), leaf breadth (cm), plant height (cm), head burden (g), yield per plot (kg) and yield per hectare (q). The performance of lettuce sort Great lakes was raise significantly better over all the additional treatments at suburb Lambathach when transplanted on 30th April.
