Effect of Different Types of Lights on Growth, Yield and Quality of Kale (Brassica oleracea var. Ace
A research project was administered to investigate the impact of different types of illumination on the growth, yield, and feature of Kale (Brassica oleracea var Acephala), under the Prayagraj Agro Climatic conditions. The experiment comprised of situations T0 (Outdoor under sunlight), T1 (LED corm white), T2 (LED tube silver), T3 (General bulb), T4 (LED corm full spectrum), T5 (LED silvery bulb + LED corm full spectrum), T6 (LED hose white + LED corm full spectrum), T7 (General corm + LED bulb brimming spectrum), T8 (LED bulb complete spectrum). To the study's judgments, among the various situation levels, treatment T2(LED hose white) showed the maximal values in progress parameters such as plant altitude (30.01 cm), petiole distance (15.07 cm), and number of leaves per plant (14.33 leaves). It also demonstrated the topmost yield parameters, new weight of leaves (24.40 gms), leaves yield/bag (50.54 g). Additionally, T2 shown better quality limits such as total soluble mass (3.23 °Brix), shelf-growth (4.67 days), and chlorophyll content (56.40 nmol cm2), while the lowest values were noticed in T4 (LED Full spectrum).
