Effect of Peppermint Oil among Sleep Apnea Individuals| Journal of Pharmaceutical Research Internati
Sleep disturbance or disruption is prevalent in patients within the 25-45 age group. During the daytime, they also feel drained. Sleep disorders also arise during wakefulness. The sense of well-being, wellbeing, emotion control, and efficiency, memory and cognitive functions are correlated with sleep disturbance. The main purpose of this research is to show that peppermint oil has an effect on sleep apnea. This research sample size was 25 participants and they were randomly chosen. The peppermint oil is taken in a few amounts before sleeping and massaged into the forehead. Before going to bed, they were advised to add 2-3 drops of oil on their foreheads or spray on the pillow. For 30 days, this must be followed. Before and after using oil inhalation, the sleeping hours and sleeping disturbances were reported. Before the use of peppermint oil, the average sleep time was 6.4±0.82, and after the use of peppermint oil, the average sleep time rose to 7.1±1.03. Sleep disturbances were on average 3.3±1.02 prior to the use of peppermint oil, and sleep disturbances decreased to an average of 2.1±0.92 after the use of peppermint oil. Using statistics, data was gathered and analysed. Peppermint oil has a sleep apnea effect and helps to cure it. From this research, it can be shown that the population has acquired a positive perception.
