Effect of Project Design on Sustainability of World Vision Community Development Projects in North..
If the effect of funding these projects is to be realised, the sustainability of the supportedprojects is critical. Despite the fact that feasibility studies were conducted prior to the start of the projects, their long-term viability cannot be assured.
The study's main goal was to determine the impact of project design on the long-term viability of World Vision community development projects in Kenya's North Rift region.Systems theory was used to direct this research.A cross-sectional survey design was used in the study.
Four County project managers, twenty project officers, forty project coordinators, twenty accountants, 240 CDF facilitators, and 240 community members made up the target population of 1500 respondents.
To select respondents, the researcher used a stratified, simple random, and purposive sampling technique.Four County project managers, 11 project officers, 22 project coordinators, 11 accountants, 133 CDF facilitators, and 133 community members were amongthe 316 people who took part in the report.
Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to interpret the data. Frequencies and percentages were examples of descriptive statistics. The hypotheses were tested using regression. Frequencies and percentages were examples of descriptive statistics. The hypotheses were tested using regression. The nature of World Vision community development projects had a major impact on their long-term viability (1=0.403, p0.05). To boost Kenya's sustainability ranking, the government should concentrate on providing sustainability training to beneficiaries so that they can take full charge of the project once the financial support has ended. In addition, ensuring that World Vision projects are sustainable requires incorporating sustainability into project design and providing support after project completion.
