The aim of this study was to assess farmers' attitudes toward Trichoderma usage, to define and explain the socioeconomic characteristics of tricho-compost farmers, and to evaluate the problems that farmers face while using Trichoderma. 66 farmers were randomly selected from Kamarpara, Chupinagar Union, Shajahanpur Upazilla, and the Vasubihar, Juanpur, Katabaria, Maria, Chalapara, Charpara, Chakpahari, Mirpara, Panai, Birkedar, Ghashuria, Mirzapur, Adamzamur, Chomorpathalia, Khidiehashra, Chowkibari, Chalkjaphu, Majbari project site of water saving project According to the results, the bulk of the respondents (59%) were in their middle years oflife, and 39% had completed high school. The majority of the respondents (45%) belonged to the small family group, and the majority (64%) had a small farm size, with 78.8% having extensive agricultural knowledge. A quarter of them (24%) belonged to the middle income community, while 29 percent earned just a few hours of training and two-thirds of the farmers (68%) had extensive knowledge of Trichoderma. In terms of their attitudes toward tricho-compost, the majority of farmers were optimistic about its benefits to soil health, ease of application, low production costs, and effectiveness over conventional compost, but were pessimistic about its adoption because it is an untraditional compost.
