Aim: The pharmacy curriculum needs to be revised and assessed on a regular basis in order to better prepare students with the necessary skills and human values to become successful and responsible professionals. The aim of this study was to find out what pharmacy undergraduate students in Al Kharj, Saudi Arabia thought about the efficacy of theoretical and practical courses in the pharmacy programme.

Methods: A survey was created for this research based on a literature review of the efficacy of theoretical and practical courses. The descriptive data was expressed as numbers and percentages, and the data was collected using a Google form.

Results: More than 71 percent of students decided that courses with functional components were more interesting than courses with only theoretical components. Furthermore, more than 73 percent of students concluded that the practical portion of the course helped them better understand the concepts of the course. Just 26.53 percent of students accepted that a course consisting solely of theoretical content would be difficult to comprehend. Conclusion: Pharmacy students were more interested in practical learning than theoretical learning, according to the report. Undergraduate pharmacy programmes should provide adequate credit hours of practical classes, according to pharmacy colleges.
