Growth Performance of Mutiara Catfish (Clarias gariepinnus) Fed a Combination of Commercial Feed ...
The aim of this study was to find the best combination of commercial feed and maggot for catfish to achieve the best growth, feed quality, and food conversion ratio. This study used a Fully Randomized Design (CRD) approach that included four treatments and four replications. Padjadjaran University's Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences conducted the research in the Ciparanje Land Fisheries Region. The study took place between January and July of this year. A (control, 100 percent commercial feed), B (75 percent commercial feed + 25 percent maggot), C (50 percent commercial feed + 50 percent maggot), and D (25 percent commercial feed + 75 percent maggot) are the treatments. The survival rate, daily growth rate, length ratio, feed efficiency, food conversion ratio, and water quality were all calculated. The daily growth rate, length ratio, feed quality, and food conversion ratio of catfish were all influenced by a combination of commercial feed and maggots. Each treatment had a survival rate of 88.75 and 92.50 percent, respectively. Treatment C had the highest daily growth rate, duration ratio, and feed efficiency of 1.86 percent, 1.40 percent, and 65.09 percent, respectively, as well as the lowest feed conversion ratio of 1.54%.
