Hydraulic Fracture Geometry Modeling Techniques for Extracting Unconventional Reservoirs | Journal o
This research attempts to give a thorough examination of all hydraulic fracture geometry modelling approaches used in conventional and unconventional reservoirs. According to the most recent related studies, we present a comparison analysis of the primary known hydraulic fracture modelling methodologies, their advantages and limitations. The research comprises models from three different families: 2D models, pseudo-3D models, and completely 3D models. As a result, the findings of this study can be utilised to choose the best model to simulate or stimulate the reservoir in order to improve oil recovery using hydraulic fracturing. Based on the comparisons made, these results can also be used for any future updates relating to hydraulic fracturing stimulation.
