For Indonesian fishermen, sea cucumbers (Holothuria sp) are a leading export product. In 2018, the rise in the market price and demand for sea cucumbers made fishermen change the fishing gear in Cirebon Regency to maximize the catch of sea cucumbers, known as the sea cucumber dredge gear. The purpose of this study is to identify the gear, catch, selectivity and productivity specifications of the sea cucumber dredge gear operated in Cirebon Regency, West Java. The research was conducted in the Gebang Mekar District between July 2019 and September 2020. Measurements of the fishing gear were carried out in the fishing village of Gebang Mekar Village. The system used is a case study method with quantitative descriptive analysis to evaluate the fishing gear characteristics and the catches taken by fishermen interviewed. The findings showed that in the dredge gear category, sea cucumber dredge gear was included. The components consist of a mouth of different sizes, a hook, a frame, a net, and a cord. Weighing up to 50 kg, the materials used are iron and stainless steel. Phylloporus sp or ondol - ondol and bycatch in the form of several demersal fish, with a total of 7 species, are the main catches of sea cucumber in Cirebon Regency. Due to its construction, which has a net with a small mesh size (2-5 inches), this fishing gear is rated as not selective, so that this fishing gear catches several species of various sizes and the measurement of the proportion shows that bycatch has a percentage of 74.75 percent.
