Impact of Aluminium on Nutrient Profile of Soil under Various Genotypes of Garden Pea | ...
The goal of this study was to see how Al affected the nutritional profile of soil produced with different pea cultivars. Two resistant (Kashi Samrath and Kashi Samridhi) and two sensitive (Matar Ageta-7 and AP-3) pea genotypes were grown in soil with increasing levels of Al (0, 12 ppm, and 24 ppm). The application of Al in the soil resulted in a considerable reduction in soil nutrient availability, particularly nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. The addition of Al induced a drop in soil pH, which had a negative impact on vulnerable pea genotype yields. Despite a drop in soil pH and nutrient imbalance, there was no significant influence on yield in tolerant genotypes.
