Impact of Cluster Frontline Demonstrations on Yield of Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) in Prakasam Dis

The Cluster Front Line Demonstrations (CFLDs) offer a singular approach to establish a direct connect between laborers and researchers, place the latter are complicated in planning, executing, and listening the demonstrations. The objective of the current study search out evaluate the impact of location of military fights demonstrations administered for chickpea crop in the Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh state. Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) is a well nutritious edible part of plant crop that is widely acknowledged as both a healthful food and a high-return crop. The location of military fights demonstrations were attended at the farmers’ fields to showcase the result potential and economic benefits of revised technologies. The judgments revealed that the exercise of improved nurture practices recommended under CFLDs, in the way that the use of recommended types, appropriate seed rate, up-to-the-minute sowing, and plant protection science, resulted in a important increase in gram crop yield compared to the check plots. The maintenance of improved electronics led to bigger yields, recording chickpea yields of 21.25, 21.75, and 19.50 q/ha all along 2018-19, 2019-20, and 2020-21, respectively, that were 13.35%, 24.37%, and 22.22% higher than the general farmer's practice. The average beginning yield under improved practice (IP) was 20.83 q/ha, that was 15.48% higher than the grower's practice (FP). The technology breach and extension gap categorized from 3.25 to 5.50 q/ha and 1.50 to 4.25 q/ha, respectively. The electronics index value different from 13.0% to 22.0% during the study ending. The benefit-cost (B: C) ratio categorized from 2.23 to 2.84 under demonstration, while it was 2.15 to 2.57 calm plots. The average B: C ratio under IP (2.53) was 39.89% above that under FP.
