Impact of Post-COVID-19 Lockdown on School Engagement of Secondary School Students in Idemili North,
The study was completed activity to investigate the impact of post-Covid-19 confinement in isolation on school engagement of high school students in Idemili North, Anambra State. Three research questions directed the study. The study working a descriptive survey research design. The culture of the study comprised all 1,774 Senior Secondary School undergraduates (SSS2) in the 16 public secondary schools in Idemili North, Anambra State. The sample of the study was 570 Secondary School scholars (SSS2) selected through a multi-stage examining procedure. The agent for data accumulation was a 15-part questionnaire named "Impact of Post Covid-19 Lockdown on School Engagement of Students" which was legalized by two experts in the Department of Educational Foundations, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. The dependability of the instrument was persistent using Cronbach Alpha enumerations that yielded beginning coefficients of 0.74, 0.70 and 0.76 respectively for the three clusters, while the overall co-adept value was 0.73. This was deliberate high enough to prove the instrument as trustworthy. The data were bestowed in Tables and resolved with average value. The findings of the study disclosed that post-Covid-19 lockdown has a helpful impact on the behavioural, intelligent engagement and sentimental engagement of undergraduates. It was swiftly concluded that post-Covid-19 confinement in isolation has a positive affect the academic engagement of high school students. It was urged that school authorities bear create their school environment embellishing to help the students reignite their craving for learning.
