Menstrual Irregularities Frequency in Reproductive Age Women with Chronic Parenteral Viral .....

Background information: The content of fatsoluble vitamin alpha tocopherol was significantly reduced inour previous analysis of the lipid peroxidation and antioxidant protection system (LPO-AOS) condition in women with chronic viral hepatitis (CVH). Women with CVH need to pay particular attention to their reproductive health. The aim of this study was to find out how common menstrual disorders are in women who have CVH and have significant alpha tocopherol deficiency.

A case-control study was used in this study. From 2010 to 2014, a research was carried out at the Scientific Centre for Family Healthand Human Reproduction Problems and the hepatological department of the Irkutsk clinical hospital of infectious diseases.This work was carried out with the help of equipment from the Irkutsk-based Collective Research Centre "Center for the Advancement of Progressive Personalized Health Technologies" SC FHHRP. Methods and Results: Our sample included 44 women of reproductive age with CVH and 28 women of comparable age who were well.Both of the women were subjected to a clinical review and a questionnaire.In 95.5 percent of patients with CVH and menstrual disorders, alpha tocopherol deficiency was discovered. Conclusion: Our findings indicate that alpha tocopherol deficiency may be linked to menstrual disorders in CVH patients.
