Morphology of Cardiac Myxoma: A Case Series with Review of Literature | Asian Journal of Case .....
Atrial myxomas are the most prevalent benign cardiac tumours, notwithstanding their rarity. Because of its rarity, symptoms, and curability, atrial myxoma is an intriguing disease. Symptoms may be attributed to obstruction's hemodynamic consequences, embolic events, or systemic symptoms that mimic collagen disease. For imaging heart malignancies, echocardiography is currently the most significant noninvasive diagnostic method. Following surgical excision, they have a good prognosis with only a small chance of recurrence. We present eleven examples of atrial myxoma in 14-66-year-olds, seven girls and four males, with nine cases in the left atrium and two in the right atrium. Pedunculated masses projecting into atrial chambers were discovered using two-dimensional Color Doppler Echocardiography. All of the patients had their tumours surgically removed and have been asymptomatic since then. There was no recurrence in any of the individuals.
