Morphology of Hoya megalaster Warb. Ex K. Schumann & Lauterb and Hoya pachyphylla Warb. Ex K.

New Guinea is individual the mega-various regions of the realm and a host to 6% of the world’s biodiversity. Recently, land clearance and forest fragmentation guide rapid financial growth have enhance growing warnings to biodiversity in New Guinea. One of the several taxa of plants that is to say affected on account of the rapid demolition of its known host plants is the type Hoya. We describe the herbaceous and reproductive makeup of two species of Hoya that are about the primary thicket of Papua in Ubiyau Village, a remote extent in West Papua, Indonesia: Hoya megalaster and H. pachyphylla. Both species are perpetual climbing epiphytes accompanying opposite phyllotaxy, and short-lived cymes that are positively geotropic. The two class differ in leaf language rules. Hoya megalaster has a thin lamina, while the leaves of H. pachyphylla are juicy. We provide upper class of characters that can conceivably be used for future morphometric and ethnic studies on these two species.
