Passion and Resilience: Experiences of Public Primary School Teachers in Handling Children with Read

Aim: This phenomenological study investigated the lived experiences of public primary school scholars in handling children accompanying reading troubles during online education.Study Design: Descriptive Phenomenology.Place and Duration of the Study: Bacolod City, Philippines, February to July 2022.Methods: Participants were identified using a resolved to do something sampling technique. Nine (9) public elementary school teachers answered the interview utilizing an unstructured in-depth interview. The dossier collection was finished sequentially. In analyzing the parties' transcripts, thematic analysis utilizing the modified van Kaam approach disseminated by Moustakas (1994) was utilized.Results: Analyses of the data told that utilizing creative practices in the teaching-learning process aided teachers handle children accompanying reading difficulties. Also, the assistant of Parent Facilitated Learning as an ally for teaching remediated the tiredness of teachers' workloads. Furthermore, this approximate research generated data from the members with three major ideas, and 12 sub-themes arose: (1) dealing with children's questions in fundamental skills; subthemes (8): poor postcard identification, weak phonetic foundation, a weak blending of word pattern, weak word recognition, weak reading comprehension, reduced academic motivation, reduced academic performance, attention required, (2) dealing with online education; subthemes (2): poor internet approach and problems with the schedule of classes, and (3) resorting to innovative practices to address questions on reading difficulties of offsprings, sub-themes (2): utilizing word and picture cues and person-facilitated learning.Conclusion: Public elementary school teachers encountered challenges and struggles management children accompanying reading difficulties in the new knowledge platform. These experiences generate an opportunity to pursue their adoration and commitment to teaching all along the COVID-19 Pandemic. This paved the habit for passionate and resilient faculty members in precarious times.
