Persistence of Fipronil Residues in the Cabbage Field Soil under Semi-arid Region of Rajasthan

Fipronil is a phenyl pyrazole poison, which is secondhand as broad spectrum poison to control pest in the way that diamondback moth, thrips, stem borers, leaf binder, termites, borers, jassids, and bollworms. A study was undertaken at Rajasthan Agricultural Research Institute, Durgapura, Jaipur all the while Rabi, 2020 to find out the steadfastness of fipronil residues in the soil of cabbage field, when sprinkled at its urged dose (5% SC, 40 g. a. i. ha-1) and double of the urged prescription (5% SC, 80 g. a. i. ha-1). The samples were extracted accompanying acetonitrile and cleaned up utilizing a modified QuEChERS system and the residues were analyzed by Gas Chromatography. The slag level of fipronil in cabbage field soil composed at harvest time of vegetable crop were below the perceptible level (BDL) at the recommended application and double of the recommended dosage, respectively.
