Personal, Socio-economic and Psychological Characteristics of Horticulture Crop Growers Practicing
The study was administered during 2020 in Chikkaballapur commune which comes under on the east side of dry zone (Zone-V) of Karnataka. In Chikkaballapur locality, two taluks i.e. Sidlaghatta and Chikkaballapur taluks were actively selected for the post, since this taluk are bearing more area under shielded cultivation science. The ex-post-facto research design was used for the study In the present study, ex-post facto research design was used. This design was thought-out appropriate, as it is a systematic practical enquiry for weighing the phenomenon, that has already happen and is continuing. The total sample proportion comprises 100 of that, 50 growers (25 Chrysanthemum and 25 Capsicum) were selected carelessly from Chikkaballapur taluk. Similarly, 50 growers (25 Chrysanthemum and 25 Capsicum) were selected carelessly from Sidlaghatta taluk. The results of the study show that more than half of the gardening crop growers were comes under middle age type, nearly individual-third of growers were experienced up to grades 9-12, more than two-having five of something of the growers were small farmers, almost one-fourth of the growers belonged to medium occurrence category, as well two-fifth of growers belonged to medium communications industry exposure classification. More than two-fifth of Horticulture crop growers had extreme scientific introduction. Two-fifth of the growers had medium accomplishment motivation. two-having five of something of the horticulture crop growers had medium enlargement participation, as well two-fifth of the growers had medium level administration orientation, plurality of the growers were accessibility to credit and grant and nearly half of the growers belonged to medium risk posture ability.
