Professional Ties and Industrial Disputes: Knowledge, Practices and Management among Doctors in a

Disputes stand from inherent conflicting interests in human co-life in any system. The only detracting element is by means of what to manage dispute to a tolerable extent that nobody of the parties feels shortchanged or weakened. In Nigeria, specifically, technical dispute has taken an original proportion because independence and a lines level in the 1990s and currently. The aim of this project search out study the knowledge, practices and administration of industrial dispute with doctors in the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi. The index study will help reveal causes of disputes in addition to proffer evidence-based answers to averting the negative aftermath. Using NAUTH as a case, questionnaires were self- executed to Doctors. The paper adopted the level method in giving data, while Chi-square was used in experiment the hypothesis. The results displayed the factors that are seemingly responsible for strikes in the Nigerian academy teaching hospital arrangement, key among them are the Management and Government’s failure to keep to responsibilities, promises made all the while engagements and negotiations, in addition to poor infrastructure, weak work environment, and weak remuneration. Hence, this paper approves that a well-designed mechanical dispute management construction must be put in place in Teaching Hospitals among possible choice.
