Social Factors as Predictors of Career Advancement of Female Civil Servants in Southwest, Nigeria

The study checked social determinants as predictors of female advancement of women in system which controls organization in Southwest, Nigeria. The descriptive survey research design was secondhand in this study. The populace consisted of all 46,889 women in Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in Southwest, Nigeria. The sample for this study amounted to 1183 adult women from 40 Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies in Southwest, Nigeria. The sample was picked through multi stage sampling process. A self-constructed questionnaire followed “Social Factors and Career Advancement Questionnaire (SFCAQ)” was used to collect appropriate data for the study. The means consists of three sections that is to say Section A, B and C. The instrument was commit face and content validity. The dossier collected were analysed using explanatory and inferential enumerations. Descriptive analysis was used to act item analysis of the parts of the questionnaire while the theories were tested utilizing inferential statistics at 0.05 level of meaning. The findings of the study disclosed that there was important relationship between instructional factor and course advancement of female kind servants. The study also told that there was meaningful relationship betwixt marital determinant and career advancement of female kind servants, also economic determinant and career advancement of female obliging servants. It was decided that social determinants like education factor, matrimonial factor, and business-related factor provided to career advancement of female obliging servants. The study urged that women endure be encouraged to involve more in course advancement in the government employment or appointment.
