Test Bituminous Coal Activated Carbon by Use Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) Activator as Electrode Material
Activated element is widely used in differing electrochemical applications, one of that is an electrode material. The price is reduced, and the essential ingredients are surely obtained from miscellaneous natural materials. The material characteristics of carbon are very powerfully influenced apiece method of produce. Thus, the selection of synthesis processes, type of precursor, type of electrical device, heating rate, and hotness of combustion or pyrolysis create it easy to control the final product/absorbent carbon but can still design the type of carbon point or direct at a goal. Supercapacitor electrodes are a technology grown from conventional capacitors. In this study, bituminous bitumen was used to turn activated element using hydrochloric acid (HCl) electrical device. This study aimed to decide the characteristics and potential of activated element from bituminous bitumen using hydrochloric acid (HCl) electrical device as a base material in the manufacture of supercapacitor electrodes. The coal sample is convinced into activated element, starting with fitting the coal through the carbonization process. Furthermore, the bitumen powder was crushed and sieved to acquire a uniform size. The bitumen powder was immersed in the HCl resolution, and the HCl solution's aggregation varied by: 2.5 M; 3M; 3.5M; 4M; 4.5 M done in duplo. Soaking was completed activity for 12 hours, the solution was percolated, and the coal slag was activated utilizing a furnace for 1 hour. The results got show that activated element has the best aggregation in characterizing, that is to say the concentration of 3.5 M (duplo) with water content, ruins content, volatile matter content, bound element content, and iodine number comply with SNI principles. 340.1168 mg/g, degree of crystallinity at an angle of 2θ.
