The Trend and Growth Rate of Brinjal in Dhamtari Block and Chhattisgarh State, India | Asian ...
The goal of the study was to determine the trend and growth rate of brinjal area, production, and productivity in the Dhamtari block of Chhattisgarh. The research was carried out in the Dhamtari district, which is divided into four blocks, the largest of which is Dhamtari, which produces the most Brinjal. Secondary data was gathered from the Raipur Chhattisgarh Directorate of Horticulture, Directorate of Land Records, Directorate of Economics and Statistics, and annual horticultural statistics. The annual area, production, and productivity of Brinjal in the Dhamtari district are obtained from the Directorate of Horticulture in Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh. The secondary data was gathered for the previous ten years (2006-07 to 2015 16). The data was analysed using the compound growth rate and the simple growth rate. Regression analysis was used to show the actions of selected variables in the district over time. To estimate the trend and growth rate of the selected variable for the study period, the least square technique was used to suit the following type of linear output function. In Chhattisgarh, the region, output, and productivity of Brinjal all increased at a highly significant rate, whereas only the area of Brinjal increased at a highly significant rate in Dhamtari district.
