Vasodilators, Enhancers of Prevention through Exercise of COVID-19? | Journal of Pharmaceutical Rese

The angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) receptor plays a complicated function in SARS-CoV-2 viral infection and illness progression, and its interaction with exercise is being studied. The virus, on the other hand, binds to ACE2. The researchers believe that exceeding the lactate threshold during exercise causes ACE2 overexpression due to hypoxia. Vasodilators would prevent hypoxia, and this fact would be implied. The prospect of averting severe forms of COVID-19 by exercise-induced mitochondrial biogenesis adds to the phenomenon's complexity. As a result, the paper examines the ability of antihypertensives used in combination with exercise to treat cardiovascular disease to prevent ACE2 over expression and to stimulate mitochondrial biogenesis. Future research is needed, but it is worth mentioning that some such hypertensives have been proposed for the treatment of COVID-19.
